About the Author
Kerry M. Olitzky, D.H.L., is the executive director of the Jewish Outreach Institute. Dr. Olitzky was ordained a rabbi by Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion, where he served the faculty and administration for fifteen years. In addition to the books he has co-authored with Dr. Kravitz, he is the author of numerous other books.

a reform commentary

I think this is a good purchase for someone interested in a reform commentary on Mishlei. The translation has been arranged to reflect pluralistic and egalitarian ideas. However, if someone is looking for a more traditional translation and approach, this would not be the correct book for you.

Good book

I bought this book to help me lead a small group bible study on Proverbs. It was very helpful and gave me an insight into the Jewish thought processes. I recommend it as an excellent resourse book.

Proverbs/Mishlei Kravitz & Olitzky

Each is a first rate book, but I would give the edge here to the Kravitz, Olitzky volume because so much first rare biblical scholarship has appeared in the intervening decades. There prose is limpidly clear and informative.
